FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Based on extensive user feedback, we’ve compiled answers to our most frequently asked questions

Our algorithm analyzes CloudWatch Metrics (CPU, Network, etc.) and metadata to identify unused resources like EC2 instances, RDS databases, and EBS volumes (and much more). It checks usage patterns and aggregates idle assets into a digestible report.
We use encryption for all data, apply the Least Privilege Principle with a read-only IAM role on your AWS Account, and leverage AWS services like GuardDuty and CloudTrail to enhance security of the platform.
We support a wide range of AWS services, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, Bedrock, S3, Redshift clusters, Elastic IPs, EBS volumes, SageMaker, VPC Endpoints, Loadbalancers, Secrets Manager and IAM roles and Users.
Yes, you can add as many AWS accounts as needed. We encourage you to add all your AWS accounts to get a complete picture of resource waste.
On the Business plan, there is a limit of 20,000 cumulative assets scanned per month. While you can add unlimited AWS accounts, the total number of scanned assets across all accounts counts towards this limit. Each supported resource (like an EC2 instance, RDS database, or EBS volume) counts as one asset.
For paid plans, we provide a 1-hour session to help set up the IAM role and connect your AWS organization. We offer personalized advice on cost-saving opportunities.
Our Enterprise Plan includes up to 6 yearly sessions with a FinOps expert, providing guidance on cost management and AWS resource optimization. (1 hour per session)
